Although it may seem like all the action (and books!) are located on the John Peace Library’s lower levels, there’s more than meets the eye to its 4th and highest floor. On the 4th floor of the JPL, you’ll find the Librarian’s Suite, where you can meet one-on-one with a subject specialist librarian, the Supplemental Instruction office, which offers weekly study sessions for difficult courses, a quiet computing area, and Special Collections, which is where UTSA’s rarest books (read: treasures) are stored in a cold storage vault.

And if all that wasn’t enough, there’s also a covered outdoor atrium that is furnished with tables and outfitted with solar-powered electrical outlets which makes for an excellent outside study space. Fun Fact: Just don’t stay up here too long as there have been reports of a ghost walking through the glassed-off atrium and down toward the elevators. After all, this is a 24/5 library and you never know what spooky things you’ll see after you’ve spent six hours straight studying calculus!
