UTSA’s Management Science Program
While earning a Management Science degree at UTSA, you’ll take a multidisciplinary approach to design systems, make decisions and solve complex problems for organizations. You’ll focus on the development and application of scientific and mathematical modeling to help companies reach the best decisions possible. Because these skills lend themselves to increasing a firm’s efficiency and productivity, this degree will prepare you for a number of careers in manufacturing, materials management, service operations, procurement, third party logistics, transportation processes and management consulting.
What You’ll Learn
As a Management Science major, you’ll have the option of learning a business competency as you work toward completing your degree. These competencies are available through elective courses and aim to develop a greater set of marketable skills for business majors. The competencies available for Management Science majors are analytics, entrepreneurship, international business, leading change, modeling and risk management. You can also choose a track in either Business Analytics or Operation & Supply Chain. Track are declared after you’ve been admitted and have met with your academic advisor.
