If you’d like to study two to three things but can’t decide which, or if you already know what you want to do outside of college and it isn’t offered at UTSA, then Multidisciplinary Studies is the ideal major for you. It’s a well-rounded path to earning a degree if your interests lie in multiple areas that wouldn’t fit into one of UTSA’s existing undergraduate programs.
UTSA’s Multidisciplinary Studies Program
The Multidisciplinary Studies degree offers unparalleled flexibility by allowing you to develop a degree plan tailored specifically to your academic and career goals. This program is designed to encourage creativity, innovation and critical thinking by offering the opportunity to capitalize on diverse interests and talents. You’ll take courses from three different disciplinary areas that you will later demonstrate a mastery over by completing a final project that addresses a question or problem relating to those areas. This degree is capable of preparing you for a wide range of careers pertaining to the areas of study that you engage in.
UTSA’s University Career Center offers several resources to help students identify and develop the global skills necessary to successfully pursue and achieve lifelong career goals.
