The Alamo Runner program is a collaborative, co-enrollment partnership between Alamo Colleges and UT San Antonio. The program supports students who were admitted to UT San Antonio during a fall or spring semester but instead enrolled at one of the five Alamo Colleges. Students who’ve attended an Alamo Runner Interest Session held at one of the Alamo Colleges or spoke with the UT San Antonio Transfer and Transition Student Success office and wish to participate in Alamo Runners Program must complete this form and agree to the terms and conditions.
Eligibility Criteria: The Alamo Runner program is a collaborative, co-enrollment partnership between Alamo Colleges and UT San Antonio. This program is for students who applied to UT San Antonio in the fall semester, were admitted to the institution but instead, chose to enroll at one of the five Alamo Colleges. Students must take 3 hours at UT San Antonio and 12 hours at the Alamo Colleges (their home school) when they decide to complete an agreement of participation agreeing to be co-enrolled. Alamo Runners benefit from enrollment at both institutions; students enjoy the UT San Antonio experience (access to recreation facilities, residence hall life, university library, sporting events, student organizations and other activities), while taking advantage of the classroom environment and costs of Alamo Colleges.
Timely Completion: Students participating in Alamo Runners must intend to complete a minimum of 45 transferable hours. Once completed, students can participate in the reverse transfer option to receive their Associates Degree from Alamo Colleges. The program has the support of the PIVOT grant, which was received by UT San Antonio to increase student engagement, retention and graduation at the institution and the Alamo Colleges. The PIVOT program will build peer-to-peer communities of support at UT San Antonio and at Alamo.
