“It’s actually insane how much I love my university already …”
Meet Angelica
Deep down, I have always known that I was going to attend UTSA. But my major? Not so much. I actually started out as the most undecided undecided student. But with the help of UTSA, I found my passion and a group of people who now mean the absolute world to me.
On campus, I took advantage of every opportunity that came my way. One that had the greatest impact was joining VOICES. It’s the largest volunteer organization at UTSA, and serves both the university and the community. This organization has shown me the person I want to be and allows me to help others in a variety of ways. People will often say San Antonio is a huge city with the tight knit feeling of a small community, and at UTSA I’ve experienced this firsthand!
I believe the opportunities at UTSA are endless, and I auditioned for ‘The College Tour’ because I want to show others that anything is possible here no matter who you are or where you come from. You just have to go for it. A piece of valuable advice that has led me through my time here is to be comfortable with the uncomfortable. I have come a long way since I arrived at UTSA, but I know it’s only the beginning.
