“My bold adventure doesn’t stop here …”

UTSA student Gisele George

Meet Gisele

I just graduated in December 2021 with my bachelor’s in physics and minors in astrophysics and biology, and I am currently working in a nuclear physics lab on campus.

During my time at UTSA, I wore many hats. I am a Terry Scholar and got this wonderful scholarship that covered everything at UTSA. I held many student leadership positions: I was president of Women in Physics, and I also held positions with the Pre-Medical Society and the Terry scholars as well. I was a part of Society of Physics Students and the Astronomy Club, which was so fun —we would host star parties on the roof of the science building, invite the community, teach everyone how to use telescopes and point out things in the night sky.

I am also a professional harpist, and I was fortunate enough to continue to play the harp throughout my time at UTSA. I played with various ensembles in the School of Music, so the orchestra the wind ensemble, symphonic band, you name it.

I can’t wait to share the rest of my story on ‘The College Tour’!
