The flexible MS in Business Analytics degree prepares you for data-driven careers in economics, finance, marketing, healthcare, supply chain management and other business sectors. Designed for students seeking in-person instruction with faculty and peer interaction, courses are offered in the evening on campus for working professionals, with HyFlex, hybrid and select online courses available.
Open to students from a range of academic and professional backgrounds, no prior quantitative or coding experience is required. The flexible program lets you progress at your own pace while applying analytics to real-world business challenges. Coursework in data visualization, predictive modeling, optimization and related techniques prepares you to improve business processes and drive evidence-based decisions. In-person students can also choose a concentration in either accounting, economics, finance or marketing for additional analytical and domain-specific knowledge that employers value.

Applications are submitted through the UT San Antonio Graduate Application. Please upload all required documents (listed below) on your UT San Antonio Graduate Application. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure completion and submission of the application, a nonrefundable application fee, and all required supporting documents are on file with UT San Antonio by the appropriate application deadline.

The Flexible Master of Science in Business Analytics at UT San Antonio is designed for students who want in-person learning with scheduling flexibility. Courses are held on campus in the evenings to support working professionals and many are offered in HyFlex or hybrid formats with some fully online options available (subject to advisor approval and course availability).

Yes. The Flexible MS in Business Analytics is STEM-designated. That means the curriculum emphasizes quantitative, analytical skills — often including data, modeling and research methods — and (for eligible international students) STEM designation may support additional Optional Practical Training (OPT) time under STEM OPT extension rules.
