Why Pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
UTSA’s Architecture degree is a four-year, pre-professional degree built around rigorous design studios and comprehensive coursework. All stages of the design process require an ability to think clearly, critically and coherently in order to make persuasive arguments and sensible judgments. Design ideas are established through the iterative process of making, drawing, modeling, fabricating, representing, discussing, reading and writing. Our aim is to contribute to the structure, utility, and beauty of our built environment; improve the quality of place in our cities, homes, work, and learning spaces; and support a positive relationship between people, buildings, and the environment.
