Get to Know Bonnie
Bonnie is a dedicated Roadrunner who graduated with honors and received her bachelor’s in construction science and management. Motivated by her father to pursue a college degree, Bonnie took full advantage of the opportunities available to her at UTSA and is more than prepared for her future career in construction.
The Road to Success
Bonnie’s first experience in higher education was obtaining a bachelor’s in business marketing at another university, after which she moved to Vail, Colorado. Her experiences there led her to realize the wealth of opportunities for women in the field of construction, leading her to enroll at UTSA in 2020 and choose to major in construction science and management.
Hands-on Learning
During Bonnie’s studies, she was able to participate in an internship with Webber, a leading heavy civil construction company here in Texas. There she worked on two road construction projects, giving her hands-on experience in her field. The experience also taught her the importance of working as part of a team, and helped her find a team of her own. The company extended a job offer to her after completing her internship.
