Conrad Finos earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Cyber Security from The Alvarez College of Business. As an Honors College student, he actively pursued both academic and personal growth through internships, study abroad experiences and staying connected on campus.
Getting Involved On Campus
Conrad’s involvement with the Student Government Association (SGA), VOICES and Omega Delta Phi allowed him to build meaningful connections and stay healthy as a student. He advises fellow students: “Balancing your well-being with academic and professional pursuits is key to not just surviving but thriving in college.”
Traveling with the Honors College
Traveling to Japan with through the Honors College was an unforgettable experience that expanded Conrad’s cultural horizons. Reflecting on the trip, he shared, “I was blown away by how efficiently they live in Japan and their heightened affinity to nature.”
Experiencing Real-Life Learning
Originally from Austin, Texas, Conrad’s decision to attend UTSA was driven by the university’s cyber security program. In the summer of 2023, he interned at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. as part of the Foreign Affairs Information Technology Fellowship. He described the experience as “an incredible opportunity to learn about the intricacies of diplomacy and the critical role of technology in it.”
Securing Success after Graduation
Stepping boldly towards his future, Conrad will represent the U.S. Department of State in an international internship in Panama after graduation. After that, he’ll join the agency full time in Washington, D.C. as a diplomatic information specialist. This bold Roadrunner is forging an exciting future!
