In the Spotlight

Giving Back

Ene John-Mark was a member of VOICES on campus, a student organization focused on volunteer service. She, along with other members, introduced volunteer projects to the local community, encouraged other students to participate in volunteering, partnered with community organizations to perform acts of service and much more. The experience helped Ene find her confidence and learn important skills like leadership. Ene also served on the Student Government Association (SGA) where she advocated for the students on campus and as a mentor in the College of Science Student Success Center where she helped freshmen in the college succeed both academically and personally. Both of these opportunities allowed Ene to develop her communication skills and gain further confidence. She plans to use these skills to pursue a career in the medical field.
