Fnu Ruchika saw UT San Antonio as the perfect place to grow both personally and professionally, and she did just that as she pursued a master’s in information technology.
Becoming a Roadrunner
Fnu started her higher education by getting her bachelor’s at a university in India, her home country. Wanting to explore opportunities outside of India, she decided to continue her education in the United States. She decided to pursue a master’s at UT San Antonio because of the university’s strong emphasis on cybersecurity and technology. The welcoming community, hands-on learning approach and focus on research and innovation only added to her enthusiasm for the institution.
Getting Career-Ready
While at UT San Antonio, Fnu found professional development as a student worker and graduate teaching assistant. Working with the School of Data Science as a student worker helped Fnu financially while also providing a support system. The School of Data Science team provided her with guidance and motivation throughout her studies. Her role as a graduate teaching assistant taught her valuable skills like time management, teamwork and leadership.
