Get to Know Kaylee

Kaylee Bostic’s path to her future career was not a straight line. As part of a military family, she moved from place to place before her family arrived in San Antonio, where she decided she wanted to stay. Living nearby UT San Antonio’s main campus put the university on her radar and she discovered it was the perfect place for her to further her education.

Choosing a Career Path

For as long as she can remember, Kaylee has always been drawn to décor and had an eye for design, gaining even more interest and insight as she traveled to different places. This led her to follow her passion and pursue a degree in interior design. The program as well as her involvement with the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) allowed her to connect with experienced designers, as well as visit design firms which gave her valuable insight into the field.

Getting Involved

While at UT San Antonio, Kaylee was also an ambassador for the Klesse College of Engineering and Integrated Design. Through the ambassador program, she volunteered for Klesse events, learned more about other fields in the college, and made lasting friendships. The interior design program even took her overseas. She spent a semester in Urbino, Italy where she traveled to sixteen different cities and studied modern and classical design principles that further developed her design skills.

"The faculty here at UTSA has been amazing, especially the interior design professors."
