Get to Know Rylee
Rylee Miller started her college journey at another university, where she was a foundational leader of the soccer team. She wanted a way to challenge herself further in both athletics and academics, so she transferred to UT San Antonio as a medical humanities major.
Athletic Achievement
It wasn’t long after transferring that Rylee soon found herself in the UTSA Soccer lineup, and she worked hard to develop even more as an athlete. Her dedicated training paid off when she helped the team achieve their first American Conference Championship and a trip to the NCAA Tournament. She accomplished this while balancing classes, sports and joining student organizations like Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Her variety of experiences on campus earned her valuable soft skills.

Getting Career Ready
The drive Rylee had for athletics left a positive impact on her academics and career path. With the resources UT San Antonio provides, she felt she could handle more challenging curricula and found herself learning more than she might have elsewhere. Initially, her goal was to become a physician assistant, but she realized her true passion was in the sports field and decided to pursue that. She graduated with the intent to work in management of a local sports complex and help train youth soccer players in her hometown of Midland, TX.
"I felt like UTSA was a higher-level program that could really challenge me, and it definitely did."
