Rozina Dhanani is an Accounting major and international student who has worked hard to not only adjust to UTSA as a transfer student, but to excel in her academics and professional development as well.

She works as a supplemental instruction leader with the Tomas Rivera Center. “Connecting with your peers who have gone through the same experience as you aided my transition.” She also met with a peer mentor from the First Year Experience program to learn about UTSA’s resources her first year.

Rozina has joined multiple student organizations such as Tau Sigma—a transfer student society—Beta Alpha Psi, and the Accounting Professionals of Tomorrow.

It was through these student organizations that she met faculty member Brandon Howard, who she credits with helping her find an internship position. set to be a tax intern with Exencial Wealth Advisors this spring.

After graduation, Rozina plans to immediately begin the Master of Accountancy program at UTSA.

“I’ve learned so much at UTSA,” she said.  “Through networking events and interacting with my classmates, it has been a great experience.”
