If you’d like to learn about linguistics, traditions and cultures that are different than your own, then you may want to consider earning a degree in Modern Language Studies.

UTSA’s Modern Language Studies Program

The B.A. in Modern Language Studies will provide the opportunity to study the various cultural aspects of a language area. Available in French, German, Japanese and Russian, the program aims to develop skills, knowledge and awareness within these cultures. Your coursework will prepare you to address the growing demands brought by globalization with a focus on international security. This degree offers a well-rounded humanistic education that will help you land careers in national security, public service, teaching, international business, banking, international media, tourism, foreign relations and publishing.
