“From the moment I stepped foot on campus, I knew I wanted to make a name for myself …”
Meet Daniel
Starting my freshman year at the height of the pandemic was so challenging. I had no in-person classes, and I was in a new city by myself. Despite all of that, UTSA had a way of welcoming me with open arms, and I was quickly able to call the campus a home away from home.
To reach my goal of making a name for myself, I knew I had to make sure my grades were in order, and it paid off. By the start of my second semester, I was a member of the Honors College and the Business Honors Program. Being a part of these organizations has opened the doors to so many unique opportunities, and I got to meet so many people and make tons of friends that I hope I have for the rest of my life.
In my sophomore year, I became a UTSA Ambassador. This is a small group of students who represent the campus at the highest level. Y’all, I got to meet the president of the university personally!
I’ve got two more years left at UTSA, and I know I can accomplish so much more. UTSA has already given me so much, and I love being able to give back to the university by sharing my experience with the rest of the world.
