Join us for hands-on activities designed specifically for middle school students and families.

This interactive event is a fantastic opportunity for students to explore different career paths, learn about endorsement pathways, and get inspired for their future—all with the support and guidance of their families.

What to Expect: 

  • Interactive Career Exploration Activities: Dive into a variety of career fields through fun, interactive sessions that give you a glimpse of what different career pathways are really like. 
  • Discover Endorsement Pathways: Learn about the educational pathways that can guide you towards your dream career. Whether you’re interested in STEM, arts, health, business, or more, we’ll show you how to get there! 
  • Meet Industry Experts: Talk to professionals in different fields who can share their experiences and answer your questions about their careers. 
  • Hands-On Workshops: Take part in engaging workshops that help you learn new skills and uncover your interests in various career fields. 
  • Fun and Inspirational: This event isn’t just about learning—it’s also about having fun while discovering what makes you excited about the future!

  • Check-in is open from 9:30am-2:00pm.
  • Check-in is located inside the UTSA H-E-B Student Union.
  • Additional check-in information will be provided via email closer to the event date.
  • Public Transportation (Via VIA Metropolitan Transit)
    • VIA Bus Routes: VIA operates several bus routes that service UTSA Main Campus. You can check the routes and schedules that connect to the campus through the VIA website or mobile app. The bus routes that service the campus include Route 93, Route 97, and Route 9 among others.
    • VIA Trans: If you qualify for paratransit services, VIA Trans offers shared-ride services for those with disabilities.
    • VIA GoPass: Consider purchasing a VIA GoPass for discounted or unlimited rides.
  • NEISD Rideshare Option
  • NEISD students and families may learn more about the NEISD rideshare option by contacting Sabrina Lara at slara3@neisd.net
  • We recommend accessing campus through UTSA Blvd.
  • Free event parking is offered in any unmarked surface parking space or spaces marked Employee A or B in Brackenridge Lot 1 or 2 (BK 1 or BK 2) or Ximenes Avenue Lot in the instance that spaces are full in Brackenridge Lot 1 & 2.
  • Please do NOT park in spaces marked ‘Reserved’ or spaces designated for ‘Resident’ Parking. Hourly parking is also available in the Ximenes Avenue Garage at a rate of $2.50/hour.
  • Parking options for those who have an ADA placard/license plate, but no UTSA parking permit, can park on any surface ADA parking space.

Yes, large groups are welcome to attend UTSA Day of Discovery! To participate in UTSA Day of Discovery, each group will need to register their group in advance. For more information, please email our team at communityoutreach@utsa.edu.

This event is tailored towards middle-school students to explore different career interests associated with the Endorsement Pathways that students select from when entering high school. Although we recommend the student be in middle school, all students are welcome to attend. 

All students must be accompanied by an adult who is at least 18 years or older while they are on campus. 

Yes! We are happy to provide a come-and-go lunch option for all event attendees. Additionally, our campus dining options will be available should guests want to explore campus dining.  

A select few sessions will have Spanish translation available.
