The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and the Alamo Colleges District have partnered together to create several dual enrollment transfer programs to make it easier for students to attend UTSA after attending one of the Alamo Colleges.
AlamoPROMISE to Bold Promise
Alamo students who received and completed the requirements of AlamoPROMISE may transfer to UTSA and qualify for the UTSA Bold Promise Program. Incoming AlamoPROMISE students who qualify will have their tuition and mandatory fees covered 100% for up to two academic years (four consecutive fall/spring semesters), as long as students maintain eligibility (approx. $22,000 value across two years).
Transferring to UTSA
Students who do not fall into the dual enrollment transfer programs below can transfer to UTSA through our regular admission process. Students should review the Alamo Colleges Transfer Advising Guides (TAG) to ensure coursework will transfer to UTSA for credit. We encourage all students interested in transferring to UTSA to speak with their Alamo Colleges Academic Advisor and a UTSA Transfer Specialist.
Alamo On-TRAC
Students who apply to UTSA but do not qualify for automatic admission may be offered the opportunity to participate in the Transitioning Roadrunners at Alamo Colleges (On-TRAC) pathway. Students who accept their On-TRAC offer will begin coursework during the fall semester at one of the Alamo Colleges and will be dual enrolled at both Alamo Colleges and UTSA during the spring semester. Students who are successful and meet the qualifications can continue at UTSA the next fall semester without re-submitting an application or sending their Alamo Colleges transcript to UTSA.
Learn MoreAlamo Runners
Students who were admitted to UTSA during a fall or spring semester but instead choose to enroll at one of the Alamo Colleges may decide on participating in the Alamo Runners pathway. The program allows students an easy path to eventually transfer to UTSA without another application and their Alamo Colleges transcript will automatically be sent to UTSA. Students will need to complete an agreement of participation agreeing to be co-enrolled at both UTSA and Alamo Colleges.
