The UTSA Ambassador Program consists of a select group of 40+ student leaders who act as student hosts at campus events, university sponsored conferences, community and alumni functions.

Established in 1988, the Ambassador Organization is committed to Service, Leadership, Integrity, and Excellence. Some key events that Ambassadors assist with include Daily Tours, UTSA Day and Commencement. Future Ambassadors

The UTSA Ambassador Organization functions as one unit and currently has three ways to enter the program. Requirements of an Ambassador are dependent upon their designation and the requirements are as follows:

Welcome Center Appointed & Call Center Appointed Ambassadors

Spaces are limited. Please note that all hours worked do not result in pay (Ex: Socials, Commencement, Alumni Gala, Convocation etc.) In addition, all Welcome Center & Call Center Ambassadors could qualify for key items such as stoles and a service letter.

Requirements

  • 10-19 hours per week
  • 3-4 Virtual Experiences per week (Virtual Visits, Call Requests, Etc.)
  • Attend Semester Retreats/Monthly Ambassador Updates/Socials (Virtual)
  • Weekly Ambassador Coordinator Check-In (Virtual)
  • Required to work Commencement, Spring Break, UTSA Day, etc. (Virtual)
  • Submit assigned Quizzes/Timesheets
  • UTSA Work Study qualified

Service Ambassadors (Volunteer/Scholarship)

Requirements

  • 4 Virtual Experiences per month (Virtual Visits, Call Requests, Etc.)
  • Attend Semester Retreats/Monthly Ambassador Updates/Socials (Virtual)
  • Weekly Ambassador Coordinator Check-In (Virtual)
  • Required to work Commencement and UTSA Day (Virtual)
  • Submit assigned Quizzes/Timesheets
  • UTSA Work Study qualified
