When it comes to college, there’s a lot to consider and it’s important that you have all the details. Sign up for a UTSA Freshman Admissions Info Session hosted by our Admission Counselors and be “in the know” when it comes to applying for college and enrolling at UTSA.
These sessions cover specific topics to help you learn about the admissions process, financial aid, important deadlines, and everything else you need to know about applying to UTSA! Choose a session based on the specific topic you would like to learn more about.
Virtual Platform
This virtual info session will be hosted on zoom. Please download the zoom app before your event date. Once you register for the event, you will be sent the zoom link. We recommend you click the link and enter the virtual room at least five minutes before the start of your scheduled event.
Info Session Descriptions
The Virtual Counselor Workshops are workshops for high school counselors or advisors working with high school seniors through the UTSA application and enrollment process. The virtual workshops will cover hot topics that help you assist your students throughout their senior year. Topics include: application fee waiver, Bold Promise & Scholarships, Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR), UT CAP at UTSA, and Admitted; How do I help my student?
The Virtual Counselor Office Hours are virtual office hours for high school counselors or advisors working with high school seniors through the UTSA application and enrollment process. The UTSA Freshman Recruitment Team will be able available to answer immediate questions.
The Application Boot Camp is a virtual series where we will discuss the application process to UTSA. In these sessions, high school senior students have the opportunity to learn tips and tricks to make their admissions application stand out. Over the course of 4 weeks, we will cover admissions, supplemental documentation, financial aid, and scholarships. Students will also have an opportunity to attend office hours to discuss applying to UTSA with one of undergraduate admissions counselors.
This session is designed for incoming college freshman to gain valuable guidance on the college admission process. During this session, our experienced admission counselors will walk you through the essentials of the UTSA admission process, equipping you with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate this next chapter. From understanding admission requirements to crafting a compelling application, we’ll cover it all.
Check Your Status is an event for students who have started on their UTSA application and would like to see where they are in the application process and any additional items they may be missing. Our Admissions Counselors will be there to check the student’s status and answer any questions they may have!
Our SRAR Workshop focuses on breaking down the step-by-step process to completing the self-reported academic record from the moment you create your account until the point of submission. This session will be led by seasoned admissions counselors with the opportunity for one-on-one assistance should attendance allow.
At UTSA we understand that the college search process is a family affair, so we developed this session to assist anyone starting the process of guiding a high school senior through the college admission process. During this meeting our Undergraduate Admission Counselors will provide tips on the college search, guide you through the UTSA admissions process, and share some resources available to your future roadrunner.
So you’ve been admitted, now what? Your Rowdy Ready Checklist is designed to help you understand and keep track of your required to-dos after you’ve been admitted. During our Rowdy Ready session, we will go over what each to-do item means and how to complete them. You will leave this session confident in the tools and knowledge for becoming Rowdy Ready!
ApplyTexas looks different than it did last year but don’t worry! Your UTSA admission counselors are here to offer a step-by-step tutorial on how to create an account, fill out your information, and submit your application to UTSA using the new version of the ApplyTexas platform. We’ll also be able to answer general questions about applying to college.
