Spring Break Tours

Spring Break Tours are a special week of extended campus visits designed for future students and families who want to make the most of their spring break visit to UT San Antonio.

The full Spring Break Tour experience typically lasts between 2 to 3 hours, making it about an hour longer than a regular daily campus tour. This gives guests more time to learn, explore, and ask questions while they are here.

Each visit may include welcome remarks, admissions information, financial aid information, housing information, a guided campus tour, and a housing tour. Spring Break Tours are designed to give students and families a fuller look at UT San Antonio in one visit.

Multiple campus offices are also open and ready to help during Spring Break Tours. Guests are encouraged to ask questions about admissions, financial aid, housing, student resources, and next steps before leaving campus.

Spring Break Tours are offered once a year during the university’s spring break period, with visit times typically available in the morning and early afternoon.

Guests can view all available Spring Break Tour dates and times when registration opens online on the first week of November.

Parking depends on the campus you are visiting for Spring Break Tours.

For Main Campus Spring Break Tours, free visitor parking is available in Brackenridge Ave Lot 1, also called BK1.

For Downtown Campus Spring Break Tours, guests are encouraged to park in unmarked spaces in either the Monterrey Lot or the Cattleman’s Lot.

ADA parking options are available in campus surface lots and garages. Guests with an ADA or Disabled Veteran placard or plate may use ADA spaces or other eligible parking spaces based on campus parking guidelines. We recommend allowing extra time to park, especially if you are visiting the Downtown Campus or using ADA parking.

For Main Campus Spring Break Tours, check-in is located on the second floor of the UT San Antonio Student Union. Please follow the Spring Break Tours signage when you arrive.

For Downtown Campus Spring Break Tours, check-in takes place in the Assembly Room, located next to the Gregory Luna Welcome Center.

We recommend arriving at least 15-20 minutes before your scheduled start time so you have time to park, walk to check-in, and get settled. Please have your check-in QR code ready from your confirmation email.

If you experience travel delays, please still check in with our team when you arrive. Main Campus Spring Break Tours allow a 45-minute grace window, and Downtown Campus Spring Break Tours allow a 20-minute grace window after the scheduled start time.

We recommend bringing comfortable walking shoes, water, and weather-appropriate clothing so you can enjoy your visit.

Spring Break Tours include time walking around campus, so please plan for the weather. Guests are encouraged to bring an umbrella or rain jacket if rain is in the forecast. On warm or sunny days, sunscreen, sunglasses, or a hat may also be helpful.

Please bring your confirmation email or check-in QR code for a smooth check-in experience. We also recommend bringing a phone or notebook to keep track of questions, notes, and next steps.

UT San Antonio’s campus is cashless, so guests should plan to bring a debit card, credit card, or mobile payment option for any purchases while on campus. Spring Break Tours are a great time to ask questions, explore campus, and make the most of your visit.

During Spring Break Tours, Housing and Residence Life may offer tours of Laurel Village, Alvarez Hall, and Guadalupe Hall.

Guests may also visit University Oaks for a walk-in tour offered by Campus Living Villages. University Oaks tours are typically available from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Guests interested in touring University Oaks should visit the University Oaks office directly.

Housing tour options may vary based on availability, staffing, weather, and campus operations.

Yes! Guests are welcome to attend Spring Break Tours with their student.

When registering, please include the number of family members or guests joining you so our team can plan for your visit. If your guest count changes after you register, no worries. Just let our check-in team know when you arrive, and we will help update your registration.

If another prospective student is attending with you, such as a friend or sibling who is also interested in UT San Antonio, they should complete their own student registration instead of being added as a guest. This helps us check in each student correctly and provide any student materials available during the visit.

When registering, please use the prospective student’s information, not the parent or guest’s information. This helps us connect the visit to the student who is exploring UT San Antonio.

If you arrive late to Spring Break Tours, please still check in with our team when you arrive. We know travel delays happen, and we will do our best to help you join your scheduled experience if timing allows.

For Main Campus Spring Break Tours, guests have a 30-minute grace window after their scheduled start time.

For Downtown Campus Spring Break Tours, guests have a 15-minute grace window after their scheduled start time.

If you arrive outside of the grace window, we may ask you to join a later tour time if one is available. Our goal is to help you still have a great visit while keeping the tour experience on schedule for all guests.

Spring Break Tours may include walking outdoors, entering campus buildings, and moving between different areas of campus. Whenever possible, our team follows routes that include elevators, ramps, and accessible pathways for guests who may need them, including guests with physical disabilities or families using strollers.

If you or someone in your group needs an accommodation, please email the Welcome Center at [email protected] at least two weeks before your visit. This gives our team time to review the request and determine what reasonable accommodations may be available.

Due to safety and liability considerations, UT San Antonio does not provide golf cart rides, wheelchairs, or other personal assistance items. Guests who need mobility support should plan to bring any equipment they may need.

Because Tours take place outdoors and may be affected by weather, guests are always welcome to rest in the Student Union or another designated indoor area if needed. Our team is happy to help guide you and support your visit however we reasonably can.

Spring Break Tours offer an enhanced visit experience that includes a welcome session, dedicated Admissions, Financial Aid, and Housing presentations, followed by both a guided campus tour and housing tour — all designed to give students and families a comprehensive look at UT San Antonio in one visit.

Main Campus: Free visitor parking is in the Brackenridge Ave Lot 1 (BK1). ADA spaces are available in all campus surface lots and garages. Guests with an ADA or Disabled Veteran placard or plate may use ADA spaces or any surface space allowed by their permit inside garages at the hourly rate or use surface pay-by-space at no charge.

Downtown: We suggest parking in unmarked parking spaces in either the
Monterery Lot OR unmarked spaces in the
Cattlemans Lot. ADA parking options are available. If you are using ADA parking, we recommend allowing a little extra time to navigate to the closest available space.

Housing & Residence Life offer housing tours of Laurel Village, Alvarez Hall, Guadalupe Hall. Campus Living Villages will also offer walk-in tours of University Oaks from 10:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. Guests should visit the University Oaks office directly to tour.

Yes! Many university departments have representatives available to visit with you during Roadrunner Preview. If you need to discuss admissions, financial aid, or enrollment services, the One Stop Enrollment Center (One Stop) will be open. Military affiliated students can also visit the Center for Military Affiliated Students (CMAS). Both are located in the John
Peace Library Building (1st Floor)

Students attending a campus tour or other Welcome Center & Events programs will receive an excuse letter at check-in. Please note, we’re only able to provide excuse letters for students registered for our programs and cannot accept letters from other schools or third parties. Excuse letters are not available for guests accompanying a registered student

We keep a close eye on weather conditions leading up to each tour. Most campus tours will go on as planned, rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, such as flooding, thunderstorms, or lightning, we’ll contact you promptly by email with any updates. This may include rescheduling or canceling the tour. Your safety is always our top priority!

Yes! We do our best to follow routes with elevators and ramps for guests who may need them, such as those with physical disabilities or strollers. If another need arises, we’ll adjust the route whenever possible.

For safety reasons, UT San Antonio does not provide golf cart rides or personal assistance items such as wheelchairs. Because tours take place outdoors and in varying weather, we understand some guests may prefer to rest. You’re always welcome to relax in the Student Union until the tour concludes.

For extenuating circumstances, accommodations may be requested at least two weeks in advance by emailing [email protected] so our team has time to review and prepare.

Yes! You’re welcome to bring guests, but please include them in your registration so we can prepare accordingly. If you’ve already registered no worries- we’ll get them added when they arrive.

Spring Break Tours are designed for individual students and families. At this time, we do not host organized schools or community groups during Spring Break week. Please visit our Group Tours page for dedicated group visit options.
