Succeeding as a First-Gen Student
Talha’s graduation from UT San Antonio is a landmark achievement in his family history. His parents came to America from Pakistan and India, and Talha is the first generation of his family to go to college.
Beginning Research at UT San Antonio
While at UT San Antonio, Talha took advantage of unique opportunities to grow in his field. As a computer engineering student, he conducted research in artificial intelligence (AI) that ultimately helped him secure an internship with NASA.

Talha is grateful for the spirit of UT San Antonio that propelled him forward. Now, as a product manager at IBM Cloud, Talha reflects fondly on his time as a student. He believes all of it played its role in helping him land his jobs and securing a future after UT San Antonio.
