Once you arrive at UTSA Day, your first step is to check in. We recommend you visit our one of our check-in locations, which are located inside of the H-E-B Student Union and the Main Building. If you are parking in Brackenridge Lot 1 or Brackenridge Lot 2 you will signage and feather flags directing you to these areas. Please refer to our UTSA Day map to see all of our additional stations.

Once a student accepts to be in the LEAD Summer Academy, they will be admitted as a UTSA student. Students who choose to participate will receive guidance and support their first year in college and will start by taking courses in the summer with other LEAD students. Aside from taking courses, students will also have opportunities to attend academic and social activities that will positively impact a students’ first-year in college. Student Activities Lip Sync Competition

Rowdy Lawn (Denman Ballroom, SU in the instance of inclement weather)

Activity Location:Rowdy Lawn (Backside of the H-E-B Student Union) Activity Time: 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM Lip Sync is the conclusion for Greek Week. This Year’s Greek Week consisted of Call To Action Day (the 5th annual event to combat Sexual Assault), Random Acts of Kindness and a week long donation drive for the Roadrunner Food Pantry. Lip Sync involves performing a song and dance routine throughout the event. The organization(s) put together a skit and eventually perform it for a panel of judges made up of faculty/staff members from the UTSA community. This is a highlight of what happens when Fraternity|Sorority Life comes together and works for a common goal. In the case of inclement weather, the location will shift to the Denman Ballroom in the Student Union.

Activity Location: H-E-B Student Union-2nd Floor Activity Time: 12:00 PM - 12:00AM The Roost is a game room opened to all enrolled students at The University of Texas at San Antonio. We are located on the second floor of the H-E-B UTSA Student Union across the center bridge or right above Frost Bank on the main campus. The Roost offers a variety of games such as pool, air hockey, foosball, ping pong and board games. The Roost also has six different gaming systems, Wii, XBOX 360, PlayStation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Wii U with over 50 different games to choose from. There are a variety of videos games for each system to choose from. A list of the video games for consoles can be found by visiting The Roost check-out office.

Parking

We recommend parking in Brackenridge Lot 1 or 2. Alternately, you may park in unmarked commuter student surface spaces or spaces marked Employee A or Employee B. You may not park in spaces marked Reserved or spaces designated for Resident parking. Hourly paid parking is available in the Bauerle Road Garage, Ximenes Avenue Garage, or Tobin Avenue Garage at a rate of $2/hour. For more information on parking locations, view the parking map.

 

Checking-In

Once you arrive at UTSA Day, your first step is to check in. We recommend that you visit one of our Check-In locations, which are located outside of the H-E-B Student Union or the John Peace Library. If you are parking in Brackenridge Lot 1 or Brakenridge Lot 2 than you will see signage and feather flags directing you to both areas. If you are parking somewhere else, we will have additional check-in stations across the campus. Please refer to our UTSA Day map to see all of our additional stations.
