Counselor Resources

UTSA is committed to community outreach and offers support services like our Mobile Go Center that raises college awareness. We also have presenters that are available to speak about higher education in classrooms or fairs. Additionally, we offer programs like the Road to College and Career and Become a Mentor that can help with preparing students for college and developing valuable interpersonal skills.

Mobile Go Center

The Mobile Go Center is a 42-foot mobile computer lab that serves grade school students by raising college awareness. The Mobile Go Center is dedicated to increasing the number of students, especially those who are traditionally underrepresented, in enrolling and succeeding in higher education programs.

Presenters

Request to have a presenter speak in your classroom or at a college or career fair within Bexar county. Requests must be made at least three weeks in advance.

Road to College and Career

UTSA offers a variety of resources for the grade school community in order to create a college-going culture within Bexar County and beyond. These resources include talking about college, developing time management skills, taking on leadership roles in organizations and more.

Become a Mentor

Mentoring is a relationship that brings young people together with caring adults, of all ages, to offer guidance, support and encouragement. Researchers have found that mentoring can help children in numerous ways such as improving self-esteem, staying focused on their education, and developing decision making skills.
