The UT San Antonio New Student Programs Fee supports the staffing, programming and technical costs of producing a quality New Student Orientation for our new students. New Student Orientation provides information about UT San Antonio’s academic requirements, campus services and resources, and peer support from our New Student Orientation Leaders. Please note that New Student Orientation is not supported through tuition dollars and your New Student Programs Fee must be paid at the time of New Student Orientation Sign Up.

New Student Orientation Payment

When you sign up for New Student Orientation, you will be asked to pay your non-refundable New Student Programs Fee by credit card in order to confirm your New Student Orientation. Once registration is complete, a confirmation page will appear indicating your confirmed reservation and your non-refundable payment information.

Fee Deferrals (Pay Later)

There is no waiver for the New Student Programs Fee. Students who meet certain financial criteria will have the option to defer the New Student Programs Fee at the time of sign-up.

If you are unable to defer at sign-up and have extenuating circumstances, you can submit a request to defer the New Student Programs Fee by emailing the office directly at [email protected]. Please allow 3-5 business days for us to review your request. Decisions will be emailed directly to your myUTSA email account.

Please remember, the New Student Programs Fee is non-refundable, even if you decide not to enroll at UT San Antonio. If you deferred the fee to your tuition account, the fee will become an outstanding balance and will have to be paid by the stated payment deadline for the semester you intended to enroll.
